Frédéric Pierucci

Frédéric Pierucci (MSc ENSMA, MBA Columbia Business School) is a former senior executive at ALSTOM with extensive international experience, having lived and worked in China, the United States, Algeria, the United Kingdom, Singapore and France.

In 2015, Frédéric founded IKARIAN, a consultancy firm whose aim is to assist and advise clients on the challenges faced by companies and their executives in complying with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the UK Bribery Act (UKBA), the ‘Sapin 2’ law and other anti-corruption laws or standards such as ISO 37001.

Frédéric is the co-author, alongside journalist Matthieu Aron, of the bestseller Le Piège américain (JC Lattès, January 2019), which has been translated into numerous languages, including English under the title The American Trap (Hodder & Stoughton, November 2019) and winner of the “2019 Human Rights Literary Prize”.

Frédéric is one of the founding members of the French Economic Intelligence Observatory, established in 2019, and Chair of the ‘Offensive Economic Intelligence’ Commission, set up in 2025 by the DGA as part of the ‘Defence Economic Intelligence Meetings’ (RIED). Frédéric teaches legal intelligence at HEC, Sciences Po and the École de Guerre Économique, and regularly lectures at France’s leading generalist grandes écoles (X, Ponts, ENSTA, etc.), French business intelligence schools (ILERI, EEIE) and universities abroad (Xinhua, Georgetown University, the University of Hong Kong, etc.).

He also regularly contributes to business intelligence training programmes run by the Institute of Higher National Defence Studies, the Institute of Higher Studies of the Ministry of the Interior, and the AFTE.
