Louise Beaumais

ouise Beaumais holds a PhD in Political Science (with a specialisation in international relations) from CERI, Sciences Po, and is a specialist in legitimate forms of knowledge in international action. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the DECRIPT programme (INALCO), where she is conducting research on tensions and disputes surrounding forms of Indigenous Peoples' knowledge within various UN institutions. Over the past five years, she has participated in the Datawar research programme, which has focused on the quantification of international relations.

Her work has explored how various practitioners use conflict-related figures, through case studies such as databases on armed conflicts, conflict victims and early warning systems. In her thesis, she examined the use of figures in foreign policy, analysing their role and effects on representations through a comparative study of French and British Arctic policies.
