La Fabrique de la Diplomatie is the largest event organized by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. Its purpose is to address all current issues in international relations with key stakeholders and to offer a behind-the-scenes look at diplomacy.
Free and open to the general public, this event is co-organized with Sorbonne Nouvelle University and takes place on the university’s campus in Paris, in the 12th arrondissement. It brings together diplomats, researchers, business leaders, NGO executives, artists, athletes, elected officials, journalists, students, and citizens to discuss the major international challenges of the 21st century.
Come meet the Normandy for Peace team and immerse yourself in the Forum through photos: relive the highlights of the last edition, and (re)discover interviews with our speakers and our web series, produced in collaboration with La Boîte à Bac. Over the course of these two days, we’ll be delighted to talk with you about our day-to-day work and help you learn about the contributions local governments make to international action.
You can also discover the Normandy Index, an innovative tool for measuring global peace, developed in partnership with the European Parliament, as well as all of our interactive resources designed to help you make sense of international news and explore concrete ways to build peace.
On the agenda:
- Presentation of the “Normandy for Peace” initiative, created by the Normandy Region to promote the values of peace and freedom, in memory of its historical legacy linked to the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy;
- Meetings with staff responsible for program design, event planning, promotion, and technical aspects of the Normandy for Peace World Forum;
- Screening of a series of videos and interviews with speakers from previous editions of the Normandy for Peace World Forum;
- Presentation of the achievements and resources of Normandy for Peace, designed to analyze international current events and explore concrete levers for peacebuilding;
- Discussion on the Normandy Index, a tool for measuring global peace, developed in partnership with the European Parliament.
