Djamel Sandid

Specialist in local governance and international cooperation between local authorities. Currently International Technical Expert with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Geneva, he coordinates a partnership with the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. He has over fifteen years of experience in international action by local authorities.

He has held positions at Cités Unies France and, more specifically, at the global network United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) for 11 years, where he has helped to foster international cooperation between local authorities and advocate for the recognition of the role of local governments in responding to major global challenges, particularly in the areas of sustainable development and territorial governance.
