What remains of international law to prevent global chaos?
La Maison Française of New York University continues its partnership with the Normandy Region and Normandy for Peace for a second year, during which a panel of researchers, academics, journalists, ambassadors and diplomats gathered to address the complex issues of global diplomacy.

Following on from previous editions, which addressed issues such as the concept of the Global South and peace and war between nations, this year's panel discussed how international law, or what remains of it, can be used to combat recurring problems such as war, poverty and wealth inequality. • His Excellency Jérôme Bonnafont, Ambassador, Permanent Representative of France to the United Nations
  • Professor Ana Palacio, Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Spain, Professor at Georgetown University
  • François-Xavier Priollaud, Vice-President of the Normandy Region, responsible for European and international affairs

Moderator: Jean-Marie Guéhenno, Professor at Columbia University, former Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations
