DECRIPT is a multidisciplinary programme of research and transfer to society and public policy, which examines how the mobilisation of civilisational narratives questions and challenges universal norms or references, is at the heart of contemporary conflicts and contributes to redefining models of multilateral governance.

Led by INALCO, bringing together nearly 400 researchers and practitioners from the consortium's 15 partners and more than 40 stakeholder institutions, DECRIPT combines the humanities, social sciences and data analysis to produce original, empirically grounded research that informs public decision-making on these key issues. Through its Lab’, DECRIPT brings together researchers, decision-makers and civil society actors to develop analytical frameworks and original tools for better understanding a world order in which civilisational narratives are becoming increasingly prominent at various levels.
