Anwar Abu Eisheh is a Palestinian politician and academic. Former Minister of Culture of the Palestinian Authority and Professor of Civil Law at Al-Quds University. He has been a professor of law at Al-Quds University since 1996. He was a member of the drafting committee for the Palestinian Civil Code from 1998 to 2000. From 2003 to 2008, he served as a legal expert for the European Commission and UNESCO. Co-organiser, from 2009 to 2017, alongside the International Institute for Human Rights and Peace, of the International Human Rights Moot Court Competition at Al-Quds University. Minister of Culture of the Palestinian Authority from 2013 to 2014.
