Having spent his childhood abroad, Zéphyr Dessus graduated from Sciences Po Lille with a degree in European and International Affairs and has since built his career within the heart of France’s public institutions. In particular, he has worked at the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, within the Balkan Europe sub-directorate; at the National Assembly as a parliamentary assistant; and at the Office of the President of the Republic, within the ‘Global Affairs’ unit of the diplomatic department.
After three years as a speechwriter for the President of the French Red Cross, he has, since January 2026, served as an advisor on advocacy and humanitarian diplomacy to the President and the Executive Board. He helps to define and promote the organisation’s positions in public debate, particularly on issues of resilience in the face of crises and the promotion of humanitarian principles.
At the same time, he teaches international relations at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and at Sciences Po Strasbourg.
